Where Owen Cooks
Caribbean Kitchen is based in Caldas da Rainha and cooks up and down the Silver Coast. Owen brings the whole evening with him: the shopping, the prep, the welcome sorrel, the cocktails, the plates, the music and the clearing up afterwards.
Guests stay at their own table from the first drink to the last. Each course is brought out and introduced, so the food arrives with the story and the culture behind it rather than on its own.
Local produce and Atlantic fish from the coast meet Jamaican seasoning, scotch bonnet, allspice and slow braising. It is a night out, held in your own home.
